How Snoobi Analytics adds organizational context to web analytics
In addition to the standard website metrics, Snoobi uses a proprietary global organization database to associate an internet connection with a registered organization where reliable information is available. This can show, for example, whether visits originate from a business, government body, educational institution, internet service provider, cloud provider or data centre.
Important: organization recognition identifies an organization or network, never an individual person. Some visits cannot be matched, and residential or shared networks may appear as an internet service provider rather than as the visitor’s employer or organization.
Why organization information is useful
- Prioritize relevant interest: See whether important prospects, customers, partners, public institutions or educational organizations are engaging with your content.
- Understand audiences more clearly: Compare the pages, traffic sources and topics that attract different kinds of organizations.
- Improve lead and account insight: Recognize repeat interest from a known organization even when no form has been submitted, while keeping the analysis at organization level.
- Separate meaningful visits from infrastructure traffic: Filter internet service providers, hosting environments, cloud platforms, bots and scrapers when they would otherwise distort human-focused reporting.
- Support better decisions: Use organizational context to improve content, outreach, campaign evaluation, public information and service design.

Create your own labels
Snoobi clients can also add account-specific labels to recognized organizations, such as customer, prospect, partner or ignore. Reports can then be filtered by both Snoobi's standard organization type and the labels relevant to your own organization. You can also add a note to an organization for additional information.
Keeping the database current
Organization data changes continually as organizations move, merge, rename themselves or change internet providers.
Snoobi's support team maintains and updates the global database on an ongoing basis.
Recognition and classification should be treated as useful analytical context rather than as an infallible identity source.
