Money saving advice hits home amidst the current economy: review of the Make More Money seminar

Feb 16, 2009

With the dismal world economy affecting advertising budgets, what could be more important than taking action to keep the money coming in? The Make More Money seminar exemplified how you can make more money through the use of good web analytics, which will improve positioning vis-à-vis competition and make business more visible online. Making the website work in your benefit is at the crux, participating consultant Marko Leppik (Wiseman Interactive OÜ) sums up.

Set your online goals and track them to make sure you get there

Held in late January, the Make More Money seminar in Estonia brought together companies tuned into the times. Present at the prestigious Hotel Telegraaf were several of Snoobi's client companies, such as Reval Hotels, Merko Ehitus and the newest Estonian partner addition Tallinn City Tourist Office. Our partners are central to our operations, acknowledges Mika Harlo of Snoobi Baltic Oü.

The seminar was appropriately kicked off with a segment on setting goals - How much money do you want to make? Dreamgrow Digital's Priit Kallas encouraged entrepreneurs to use web analytics to find out whether their website was cashing in as much money as it should. Kallas explained that companies should present activating information on their website. The activation will increase revenue through maximizing customer engagement.

Web analytics - anyone can do it

InnoSport Oy's Tero Kotilainen brought the topic back to the basics of every business. By using his own company as a case example, Kotilainen proved that you don't need to be a technically minded expert to benefit from web analytics. Even beginners can, and should, follow-up on e-mail campaigns and advertisements to see that they accomplish the goals set for them.

Pekka Koskinen's segment on measuring (Do I make the money?) showed how the all-important follow-up process can be done using Snoobi's web analytics. The analytics ideas provoked discussion and by the end of the seminar, most participant were lining up for and individual assessments of their analytics needs.

What next?

Based on the plentiful, positive feedback, another seminar will be held 29.4.2009 at the Nordic Hotel Forum in Tallinn. Events such as seminars are important for networking and communications with other likeminded companies, says Mika Harlo in conclusion.
