Snoobi and Google Analytics

Google Analytics and Snoobi are the market leaders in visitor tracking software in Finland. There are an estimated 4800 enterprises using the Google Analytics software in Finland, while Snoobi has in the region of 2500 clients. The combined market share of Google Analytics and Snoobi on the Finnish markets make up for 75 percent of of all visitor tracking software.

Google Analyics is a free visitor tracking service offered by Google. With Google Analytics it is easy to obtain information about the utilization of a website as well as measure the effectiveness of AdWords-advertising. The strength of Google Analytics is in measuring the effectiveness of Adwords and in the marketing analysis of Business-to-Customer sites, which contain a webstore or an equivalent ordering system.

  • Snoobi works on public websites as well as both on intra- and extranet environments. Analytics can not be used on sites which do not have a public DNS address
  • Installing Snoobi is easier, since all the configurations can be done from the settings, while in Analytics changes have to made straight into the source code and into filters, which might prove to be difficult (for example, setting advertisement tracking and following multiple domains from the same account etc.)
